Start of $73,400 annually, with actual offer based on education and experience

• Teach the equivalent of at least 3-credit hours each fall and spring semester (clinical, lab, classroom replacement/assignment).
• In the absence of an assigned faculty member, provide instruction in the classroom, lab, or clinical setting.
• Participate in all programmatic accreditation and approval activities which include but are not limited to self‑study preparation, on‑site visits, and annual report submissions.
• Understand and adhere to all applicable LCTC policies, SOWELA policies, and Faculty Handbook.
• Understand and adhere to all laws pertaining to disclosure of student records.
• Promote an atmosphere of collegiality within and between the various schools, programs, and student support services.
• Promote a culture of service to students, faculty, staff, prospective students, and community members.
• Collaborate with the Dean to ensure effective and efficient functioning of advisory committees for all academic programs.
• Collaborate with the Dean to provide leadership in developing, implementing, and maintaining curriculum and programs that respond to community needs, prepare students for success, and meet external requirements of SACSCOC and other accrediting bodies.
• Understand and adhere to professional scope, standards, codes, rules and regulations of Professional Governing Bodies for the programs.
• Provide leadership for and work with other college departments to enhance visibility, enrollment, and resources.
• Represent Academic Affairs division at college‑wide, instructional, and community meetings in the absence of the Dean.
• Collaborate with the Dean in recruitment, selection, and recommendation of candidates for program coordinator, full‑time and adjunct faculty positions.
• Determine eligibility and verify credentials of faculty to teach in Nursing and Allied Health programs.
• Assist the Dean with orientation and mentoring of new faculty, full‑time and adjunct.
• Assist the Dean with annual orientation of new and returning clinical adjunct faculty.
• Supervise and facilitate needs of instructional staff per institutional policies.
• Facilitate participation in professional development activities for faculty.
• Assist Program Coordinators and Directors with recruiting and hiring full‑time and adjunct faculty.
• Monitor payroll and timesheets in the absence of the Dean.
• Collaborate on annual evaluations for all faculty and staff.
• Work closely with Dean in development of new courses and/or programs of study.
• Collaborate to ensure curriculum is being followed.
• Promote innovative instructional methodologies.
• Work with program coordinators, directors, and faculty to establish needs and priorities for program expenditures and growth; report findings to Dean.
• Identify resources for development of new programs, initiatives, equipment and supplies.
• Ensure maintenance, security, and inventory of equipment for main campus and instructional sites.
• Recommend to the Dean and forecast additional funds needed.
• Coordinate equipment inventory across sites.
• Participate in resolution of student grievances.
• Oversee final degree audits prior to submission to Dean and Office of Enrollment Management.
• Approve course substitution waivers or registration overrides upon recommendation from appropriate program coordinators and Dean of Arts & Sciences or similar.
