Precast Designer

Our client, a leading organization in the construction and structural engineering industry, is seeking a Precast Designer to join their team. As a Precast Designer, you will be part of the Structural Engineering Department supporting the design and detailing of precast concrete systems.

Pay Range: $100,000 - $130,000

Responsibilities
  • Perform structural design and analysis of prestressed and precast concrete elements, including beams, columns, wall panels, piles, and related systems.
  • Develop detailed 3D models and shop drawings for precast concrete systems, cast‑in‑place foundations, and miscellaneous structural components using industry‑standard CAD software.
  • Read and interpret structural, architectural, and MEP drawings to develop accurate precast solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, detailers, production teams, and field personnel to ensure design intent aligns with fabrication and erection requirements.
  • Support project lifecycle activities by responding to RFIs, submittals, and design revisions, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in precast/prestressed concrete design and/or detailing.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing software such as Tekla Structures, Solid Works, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of precast/prestressed concrete design, including PCI standards, load paths, and connection design.
  • Understanding of precast production processes, erection methods, and constructability considerations.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and translate them into accurate models and designs.
