Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid‑scale, mixed‑refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre‑treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups.
The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000 m³ full‑containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.
In this role, you will manage a team and provide field engineering leadership for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts. Your oversight will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.
Major Responsibilities Leadership/Supervision- Proactively engage with team development through CPM, competency development/assessment, and feedback
- Lead construction engineers in a broad range of construction engineering work within a specific engineering discipline
- Coordinate with design on constructability issues
- Review material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials
- Possess responsibility for quantity take‑off, control, reporting and forecasting
- Ensure zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area; tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely
Coordinate between Construction and Startup to ensure the various system walk‑downs are performed, interfacing with the Startup Specialist as required to support component/system turnover and assuming responsibility (as required) for area turnover coordination as determined by the PFE.
STR / Subcontract Coordinator- Review and approve inspection test plans
- Coordinate reviews of subcontractor submittals
- Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 10‑13 years of relevant experience or 14‑17 years of relevant work experience
- Construction experience on LNG projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams
- Construction experience assigned to a construction site in a supervisory position
- Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience in a supervisory role commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken
- Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power generating station construction
- Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards; excellent communication and problem‑solving ability
- Extensive piping experience
