In this role, you will manage a team and provide field engineering leadership for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts. Your oversight will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.
Major Responsibilities- Lead construction engineers in a broad range of construction engineering work within a specific engineering discipline.
- Coordinate work planning and packaging with design, ensuring constructability.
- Review material receiving reports and warehouse management to assure delivery of correct materials.
- Possess responsibility for quantity take‑off, control, reporting and forecasting.
- Implement and enforce a zero‑accident philosophy and safety requirements on the field, ensuring tools and equipment are safe.
- Coordinate between construction and startup to conduct system walk‑downs and turnover activities, interfacing with the Startup Specialist as required.
- Review and approve inspection test plans; coordinate reviews of subcontractor submittals.
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 10–13 years of relevant experience, or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
- Construction experience on LNG projects and proven leadership of teams in a supervisory role.
- Direct‑hire construction experience in a supervisory capacity on heavy industrial projects.
- Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power‑generating station construction.
- Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving ability.
- Extensive piping experience.
- Physical ability to conduct field inspections, including walking in high heat/humidity, climbing ladders or scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, uneven surfaces, and confined spaces; ability to lift as required.
