Heidelberg Materials seeks a Corporate Mine Planning Engineer to support safe, efficient, and sustainable aggregate supply across its manufacturing network. In this role, you will develop long-, medium-, and short-range mine plans for multiple quarries, optimizing pit designs, sequencing, and haul systems to meet production, quality, and cost targets. You will collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and environmental teams, ensuring compliance with MSHA and permitting requirements while advancing reclamation and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain long-, medium-, and short-range mine plans for multiple aggregate sites to meet production and quality targets
- Analyze geological, reserve, and operational data to optimize pit designs, sequencing, and extraction methods
- Collaborate with plant operations, maintenance, and environmental teams to align mine plans with production, safety, and permitting requirements
- Prepare mine layouts, haul road designs, and equipment utilization plans using mine planning and CAD software
- Monitor plan performance, production metrics, and costs; recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk
- Support reserve assessments, due diligence, and feasibility studies for new quarries and expansions
- Ensure compliance with MSHA, environmental, and corporate safety standards in all mine planning activities
- Produce technical reports, maps, and presentations for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Contribute to sustainability initiatives, reclamation planning, and life-of-mine strategies
- Mentor site engineers and support standardization of mine planning best practices across the organization
