Student Clinical, Respiratory Tech Extern - PRN

Overview

Provides professional care to all customers needing their services. Performs patient/family education and maintains all necessary related documentation. Assists respiratory therapists during exams and procedures. Performs clerical duties including answering phones and entering information into computer systems. Transports patients to and from the imaging suite. Performs continuous light housekeeping duties, stocks supplies and linen.

Provide patient care and customer service, assist respiratory therapists during exams and procedures, and maintain related documentation. Perform clerical duties (phone inquiries, data entry). Transport patients to imaging and other departments. Maintain cleanliness, and stock supplies and linen as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a Respiratory Therapy Program.
• BLS required (American Heart Association).
• Basic understanding of respiratory disease processes; demonstrated interest in professional growth and development; ability to accept scheduling/placement designations determined prior to hire; good customer relations skills and basic computer skills.
