SummaryThe Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the full lifecycle of the staffing plan in support of the site. This role will work with key managers to determine staffing needs maintaining excellent relationships by providing a positive and professional experience. The Talent Acquisition Manager will utilize internal and external resources to support forecasting and recruiting needs including advertising, sourcing, identifying, developing candidate pools, screening, coordinating/leading interview teams and recommending candidates.
Responsibilities- Utilize staffing plan objectives to prioritize and set goals, planning and anticipating staffing needs and requirements.
- Align company goals, strategies and tactics in identifying and securing top talent.
- Assist managers with forecasting manpower needs, defining recruitment strategies, and coordinating logistics for open requisitions.
- Add value beyond transactional tasks by pursuing opportunities to refine and improve process, identifying potential trends/issues.
- Develop opportunities to create and maintain pipelines of candidates to meet short-term and longer-term needs.
- Maintain expert knowledge of openings and provide proactive solutions to fill requisitions quickly and with high quality talent.
- Lead the recruitment process for assigned positions, ensuring positive candidate experience.
- Assist in the development and execution of sourcing strategies to include professional networking, direct sourcing, employee referrals and advertising.
- Develop and manage recruiting metrics to accurately assess the effectiveness of the recruiting strategies.
- Advance the overall recruitment strategy, seeking opportunities to improve sourcing channels, employment brand and sourcing effectiveness.
- Perform supervisory responsibilities including evaluating staff performance and encouraging staff development and training.
- Interface with all divisions and corporate support groups and overseeing compliance of the employment process.
- Other duties within the Talent Acquisition department as assigned.
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in recruiting within a large corporate environment or search firm with a focus on craft, engineering, construction, or related industries is strongly preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate proven success in identifying and attracting top talent using innovative, yet cost effective recruiting methodologies.
- A high level of professionalism, including knowledge of human resources related regulations, is required, as is the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Candidates should possess excellent project management, writing, oral, communication and presentation skills, as well as proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
- A thorough understanding of advertising, networking, social media, and recruiting industry trends is essential for success.
- Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities, remaining flexible and adaptable. The individual selected must demonstrate strong initiative and solid business judgment abilities.
- Experience in a construction, oil and gas, or engineering company is preferred.
- An exceptional level of customer focus is required, coupled with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
