The IT Client Support Specialist is crucial in maintaining the technological backbone of campus operations. This individual will be responsible for a wide range of activities from installation to troubleshooting, ensuring faculty, staff and students have the necessary tools for success.

Additionally, the IT Client Support Specialist will:

Maintain software and hardware systems associated with campus services
Perform IT best practices and procedures while satisfying end user requests
Diagnose and perform basic troubleshooting/repair of systems
Perform basic maintenance tasks
Schedule and perform regular check-ups to verify correct performance
Dialogue with vendors as necessary to ensure proper maintenance
Coordinate shipping and receiving of units needing repair
Coordinate warranty repairs

Required:

Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or 5 years of related experience
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines
Strong technological skills
Attentive to detail with strong organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
Service-oriented, motivated, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse population
Ability to learn new technology and software as they are introduced into the work environment
Ability to research and solve problems independently
Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field
Experience working in higher education
Experience with audio/visual instructional equipment (Extron, projectors, microphones, etc.)
