Overview
Are you a dynamic leader ready to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment?
Our client seeks a dedicated professional to lead manufacturing operations at their Louisiana facility, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is pivotal in executing operational strategies, workforce leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage daily operations in a high-volume 24/7 production setting.
- Develop and support a team of supervisors and 50 hourly employees.
- Motivate and guide the team to enhance engagement, accountability, and performance.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Drive production to meet customer delivery, quality, and cost targets.
- Monitor key performance indicators for safety, productivity, and efficiency.
- Identify and address operational issues to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments and resources to tackle operational challenges.
- Communicate priorities, performance results, and improvement strategies to the Plant Manager.
- Prepare and present operational updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Engage in all essential functions on the plant floor, in meetings, and with stakeholders.
- Perform additional related duties as required to support organizational goals.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in leadership or supervisory roles within a metal forming manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in lean manufacturing and problem-solving.
- Computer literacy with MS Office and Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
