Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; hospice, palliative, oncology, or med-surg experience preferred

Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Ability to provide compassionate care in emotionally challenging situations

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

Assess patient physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care

Manage pain and symptoms in accordance with physician orders and care plans

Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately

Provide education and support to patients and families regarding disease progression, care plans, and end-of-life needs

Coordinate care with physicians, social workers, chaplains, aides, and other team members

Monitor patient status and report changes promptly

Document assessments, care, and patient responses accurately and timely

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning

Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families during end-of-life care
