PositionSummary
The Mental Health Worker/Driver supports patient care and daily facility operations by providing safe transportation services and maintaining a structured, therapeutic environment. The role involves safely transporting patients to and from appointments, residences, and approved destinations, assisting with meal pickups, and handling basic administrative duties such as answering phones and covering staff breaks. They closely monitor patient behaviors and interactions, ensuring safety and promptly communicating concerns to nursing or leadership staff.
Strong communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and a compassionate approach to patient care are essential. The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive, and passionate about supporting both patients and staff in a fast‑paced behavioral healthcare environment.
Education:
High School Diploma
License:
Current Motor Vehicle License with a clean MVR
Experience:
Minimum of 1–2 years transporting patients in a 10–12 passenger van or similar vehicle.
