Travel RN – Labor and Delivery (Nights)

Lake Charles, LA | Acute Care

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

• Manage and support patients through labor and delivery, including inductions and augmentations
• Circulate and assist during cesarean section procedures
• Provide care for antepartum patients across varying acuity levels
• Conduct initial newborn assessments and attend to newborns at delivery
• Adhere to AWHONN nurse-to-patient ratio standards based on patient acuity and care type
• Meet weekend scheduling requirements as part of the standard rotation

• Active RN license in the state of employment or valid compact license
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience

• Experience with Pitocin administration for induction and augmentation
• Familiarity with cervical ripening agents such as Cytotec
• Experience managing triage and antepartum patient populations

• No on-call or floating requirements, allowing you to focus entirely on your Labor and Delivery patients
• Structured AWHONN-standard staffing ratios support a safe and professional care environment
