American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring AWHONN or NCC fetal monitoring certification and NRP certification.

• Labor and Delivery unit caring for deliveries, circulating c-sections, antepartum patients, and newborn initial assessments
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards: 1:1 on Pitocin induction/augmentation, 1:2 cervical ripening, 1:2-3 antepartum, 1:2-3 triage, and 1:1 immediate postpartum

• Active RN license in Louisiana or compact
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NRP certification
• Current certification in one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)

• Provide nursing care across labor, delivery, antepartum, and immediate postpartum stages
• Attend to newborns during initial newborn assessments
• Navy blue or pink scrubs required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Candidates who previously worked at any CHRISTUS Health facility (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation before starting a travel assignment
