Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality documentation and required records for the Project are accurate and up to date.
  • Perform inspections of fabrication process and monitor operations.
  • Inspect for compliance with contract documents, standards, and specifications of precast-prestressed concrete products.
  • Test materials; review plans.
  • Maintain daily diaries on project operations, resolve daily constructability issues and troubleshoot problems to mitigate delays to project’s progress.
  • Monitor contractor's daily operations.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate work with contractor, coworkers and supervisors.
  • Test concrete on-site.
  • Review fabrication details for constructability and installation compatibility.
  • Review material certifications, fabricator’s inspection and testing records, and repair records.
  • Review quality documents prior to delivery.
  • Assist in ensuring that quality requirements are implemented by subcontractors.
  • Compile comprehensive reports detailing quality performance, highlighting trends, and suggesting corrective actions and lessons learned.
  • Collaborate in the digitalization of quality records.
  • Monitor, verify and generate daily reports on the progress and performance of contractor activities.
  • Perform the off‑site quality inspections at the Owner’s/suppliers/manufacturer’s yard/shop as needed.
  • Report quality issues associated with the construction and track deficiencies/non‑conformances.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • PCI Level III and 3+ years of related quality experience.
  • Experience working with LADOTD Design‑Build projects and/or the construction industry is preferred.
  • Valid and current driver’s license required.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementation of ISO
    9001 standard on Quality Management System required.
  • Experience in implementing quality management and quality control digital tools valued.
  • Effective communication in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work as a team member and exert initiative to work independently to reach a goal.
  • Ability to embrace change in the workplace while encouraging others to seek innovative approaches.
  • Ability to function effectively as a team player and collaborator.
  • Flexibility to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and work additional and/or different hours, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
  • Ability to perform on‑site inspections in outdoor areas.
