The Maintenance Department has a vacancy for a Maintenance Repairer 1 position.

This position is to make minor repairs to buildings, facilities, grounds, locks, light equipment, appliances, or to perform general maintenance in other shop areas in the maintenance department and throughout the campus. This position is also subject to drug testing due to safety and security sensitive work. This position requires a valid driver's license and may require a clear driving record if required to drive on behalf of the University.
QualificationsOne year of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR
Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Job Duties- Makes repairs to the interior and exterior of buildings and facilities and maintains furniture and equipment.
- Provides basic maintenance skills to the plumber, carpenter, painter, electrician, HVAC, and automotive shops.
- Replaces and adjusts worn or damaged belts, plugs, fuses, hoses, etc.
- Checks for safety and maintenance of various small engines.
- Performs routine automotive preventive maintenance to cars, vans, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Performs other duties assigned by the foreman, superintendent, or director.

Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Appointment TypeThis vacancy is being announced as a classified position. This is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week position and considered non‑exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and overtime can be mandatory. This position is also subject to drug testing due to safety and security sensitive work. This position requires a driver's license, and may require a clear driving record if required to drive on behalf of the University.
