Position Summary...What you'll do...Role summary
The Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This role requires diagnosing issues, utilizing multiple craft skills, and managing maintenance schedules and work orders. The technician ensures compliance with safety regulations and company standards while coordinating with contractors and supporting emergency response efforts.
Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and adherence to established procedures are essential to maintaining a safe and functional environment that supports business continuity.

- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and diagnose equipment issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and specialized tools.
- Conduct major and minor repairs across multiple crafts including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Manage work orders, maintenance logs, and contractor coordination while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations to support critical business needs.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles in accordance with safety procedures and policies.
- Document repair activities, track parts orders, and submit related expense reports and warranty claims.
- Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment and facility systems.
- Proficiency in multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery, and powered equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance and safe work environments.
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, and coordinating with contractors.
- Effective documentation skills for repair activities, cost tracking, and warranty claims.
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and participate in on-call rotations.
