Position Overview

Mental Health Professional at Merakey in Lake Charles, LA.

The Mental Health Professionals (MHP) are an essential part of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. The multidisciplinary team provides evidence‑based services to members diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. The MHP provides individual and group therapy, creates person‑centered treatment plans, reviews and updates crisis plans, conducts psychosocial assessments, maintains thorough and timely clinical documentation (progress notes, assessments, interpretative summaries), and provides crisis intervention and support.

• Active driver’s license in Louisiana.
• Active PLPC/LMSW in Louisiana.
• Willingness to work in a community‑based setting.

$26.44 per hour plus $7,500 yearly mileage stipend.
