Asphalt Maintenance of Traffic Supervisor

Overview

The Maintenance of Traffic Supervisor oversees flagging traffic and directing motorists through construction work zones based on the specific demands of the traffic control plan for the job. The role includes supervising workers on construction sites and performing related traffic control duties.

• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in flagging traffic and directing motorists through construction work zones.
• Perform other related traffic control duties as required.
• Engage in motions such as bending, hammering, stooping, pushing, pulling, squatting, throwing; lift up to 25 pounds; walk and stand for most of the day.
• Use tools such as hand shovel, axe, brush hook, grade rod, sledge hammer, pick, mattock, post hole diggers.
• Be exposed to extremes of hot or cold weather.
• Ride to and from job sites.
• Work overtime as required.

• State of Florida Advanced Training for Worksite Traffic Supervisor certification.
• At least 1-3 years of experience as a Maintenance of Traffic Supervisor/Foreman in highway construction.
