Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site AutoCAD Operator role located in Lake City, FL. The AutoCAD Operator will produce and revise technical drawings, construction documents, and shop drawings that support the design and manufacturing of factory-built homes. Daily responsibilities include interpreting architectural and engineering specifications, applying established CAD standards, and ensuring drawings are accurate, complete, and aligned with production requirements. The role involves collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and production teams, communicating drawing changes, and maintaining organized digital files and documentation.

The AutoCAD Operator will also assist with updating standard drawing templates, troubleshooting design issues, and supporting continuous improvement in drafting processes.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and Drawing for construction and manufacturing applications.
  • Candidates should possess experience creating and managing Shop Drawings aligned with production and installation requirements.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency with CAD Standards, including template use, layering, and file organization.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and documenting design changes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software; experience in residential or modular construction drafting is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans, building codes, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Associates degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in drafting, CAD, engineering technology, or a related field.
