Water Resources Engineer II – Moving I-4 Forward

RS&H, Inc. is a leading architecture, engineering, and consulting firm. We are seeking a Water Resources Engineer II to join the Moving I-4 Forward Program Office.
ResponsibilitiesAct as an embedded engineer reporting to the office five days per week. Provide professional engineering consultation in planning, design, and coordination of diverse projects; develop and evaluate engineering reports, plans, and specification criteria; coordinate with a diversified project team, including client communication, proposal coordination, marketing, presentations, and management of other discipline-related activities; prepare specifications, scaled drawings and proposals; ensure finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction;
meet with clients to determine objectives and requirements for executing desired scope; review junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provide guidance; perform quality control reviews, field reviews, and observations of ongoing construction projects. May also review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules; serve as team expert or project lead; lead discipline teams or multidisciplinary teams to complete projects; manage a small team of direct reports.
To be successful you must:
- Have a degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program and seven years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Be a professional engineer in good standing.
- Be knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
- Be proficient in production software and construction document production.
- Have proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner.
- Have experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects and providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, including reviewing others' work for technical accuracy.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
