Essential Functions- The goal of the Deposit Operations area is to achieve the optimum level of cross-training; therefore, primary duties and responsibilities of the Deposit Operations Specialist may be assigned from the following:
- Process Returns Desk functions including, but not limited to: reconciling control accounts daily to identify and clear or resolve out of balance items; reviewing and clearing Exception Items; processing Return Items (checks and ACH); processing incoming and outgoing Fed cash letter adjustments.
- Perform wire related activities, including preparing and/or approving wires, handling service messages, wire returns, and maintaining various wire duties.
- Review various daily, weekly and monthly reports for account maintenance, unusual activity, inactive/dormant accounts, holds, etc. and take necessary actions.
- Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one s duties.
- Performs a variety of related functions to support the successful operation of the Deposit Operations department. Reviews and updates operations control procedures as needed.
- Perform custodian of records duties, producing/reviewing and providing legally requested documents.
- Perform processes required for the Bank s ICS/CDARS program, including the setup of new accounts, processing transactions/renewals, sending client notices and statements.
- Responsible for providing support for executing all processes relating to Debit/Credit cards including ordering, troubleshooting, supporting, balancing, maintenance, instant issuance, and dispute processing. Communicate status of pending service requests with customers and management as needed within established service level agreements.
- Provides the best service to our customers with innovative and creative solutions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Broad knowledge of financial institution bank operations procedures.
- Must be able to learn all duties in the Deposit Operations department for cross-training purposes.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a deadline intensive work environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Word and Excel. Extended hours sitting and performing computer tasks may be required.
