The Loan Consultant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Lake City, FL. This role is responsible for assisting customers in understanding loan options, completing applications, and navigating the approval process while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day activities include evaluating customer financial information, presenting suitable loan solutions, and explaining terms and conditions in a clear, accessible manner.
The Loan Consultant will build relationships with customers through in-person consultations, deliver high-quality customer service, and support branch sales goals by promoting appropriate financial products. The position also involves processing documentation accurately, following up on pending applications, and collaborating with branch team members to meet performance and service objectives.
- Strong knowledge of Loans and Finance, with the ability to assess borrower needs and explain loan products clearly.
- Experience in Financial Services, including familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in consumer lending.
- Customer Service skills with a focus on empathy, active listening, and problem solving in a branch environment.
- Sales skills to identify customer needs, recommend suitable products, and contribute to branch growth goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse customers and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial documents, data entry, and record keeping.
- Basic proficiency with office software and point-of-sale or loan processing systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or experience in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in a retail banking, consumer finance, or branch-based sales environment is beneficial.
