Exciting Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Live Oak, FL
Main Street Family Care is growing and is looking to hire a fast, fun, and friendly Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team full time. You will provide patient‑focused care and help our patients feel better quickly. We offer urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The ideal applicant will be able to lead a small team while working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced urgent care environment.
This is an incredible opportunity for FNPs early in their career, including brand‑new grads. After onsite orientation and training, you will have several training shifts with existing providers. We provide a complimentary pediatric urgent care CME course and on‑site NP on‑call support to help you grow into the role. We invest in your success because we believe you can thrive.
Utilize your full scope of practice to treat pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in an urgent care setting, keeping skills sharp and marketable for future opportunities. You will lead a small team of medical assistants, acting as a professional role model and inspiring them toward career growth.
Support our rural communities. Our clinics serve areas with limited access to care. We are open 362 days a year to meet community needs and offer tuition reimbursement grants and student‑loan reimbursement grants through state‑funded programs.
ResponsibilitiesYou and your team will care for all patients within your scope of practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and treating upper respiratory issues such as cold, flu, strep, and COVID
- Performing minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
- Suturing and splinting
- General orthopedic evaluation and management
- Reviewing x‑rays (to be over‑read by a radiologist)
- General dermatology and eye exams
- General EKG interpretation
- Emergency management skills
- General gynecological care
- Treating children of all ages
- Occupational medicine
- Telemedicine
- Clinic hours:
Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.;
Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. - Rotating schedule: every other weekend. Sample schedule:
Week 1 – Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON). Week 2 – Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF).
- Family Nurse Practitioner board certification required
- MSN or higher education required (new graduates accepted)
- DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (cost covered)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite preferred
