Pre OP PACU RN (PRN)
The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients. They continuously evaluate patients, ensure safety, comfort, and privacy, and may assist physicians in the procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques. The RN delivers comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center
- At least 2 years of experience in PACU or critical care preferred
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage
