Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment in a dealership shop environment. The Shop Technician will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems on forestry, land clearing, and compact construction equipment. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, identifying root causes of equipment failures, completing repairs according to manufacturer specifications, and ensuring machines are returned to service operating safely and efficiently.
Technicians will work on a variety of equipment including excavators, skid steers, mulchers, and other heavy machinery used in forestry, construction, and land management operations. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with hydraulic systems and diesel-powered equipment, and the ability to use diagnostic tools and service manuals to accurately identify and repair issues.
The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works efficiently in a fast-paced dealership shop environment, and understands the importance of keeping both customer and company equipment reliable and productive. Technicians are expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, properly document work performed on service work orders, communicate repair findings with service advisors and management, and follow all shop safety procedures.

- Valid driver's license required
- Welding experience is required.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
This position is performed in a heavy equipment service shop environment. Work may involve exposure to loud noise, grease, oils, and moving machinery. Technicians must be able to stand, bend, lift, and work with tools and equipment throughout the workday.
