Job SummaryThe Department of English seeks three (3) part-time instructors to teach first-year writing (English 1101 and 1102) and assist with portfolio assessment at the Main Campus and off-site locations:
Rockdale, Fayette, Henry, Clayton, and Fulton County. This position will be filled by candidates with experience in teaching first-year writing and survey of literature courses who can help with the work of the writing program, as desired. The candidate should have a Master of Arts (M.A.) in English or higher with successful experience and/or training in teaching writing.
- Teaching two writing courses per semester.
- Assessing portfolios.
- Holding office hours and being accessible to students.
- Master of Arts (M.A.) in English.
- Record of successful teaching in composition and/or first-year writing.
- Technological literacy and a commitment to integrate technology in teaching.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
