Assistant Project Manager

I am currently seeking a Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager to join a specialized Project Management Organization (PMO) focused on high-voltage transmission and substation capital projects across Georgia.

This is a critical role, where you will support the execution of infrastructure projects driven by large-scale industrial growth—including data centers, renewable energy integrations, and major relocations.

You will act as the right hand to the Project Managers, ensuring that complex transmission lines and substations move from design to energization on schedule and within budget. This is a high-visibility position that offers the opportunity to independently manage smaller "Customer Choice" projects as you grow.

• Full Lifecycle Support: Coordinate design, procurement, and construction phases for transmission infrastructure.
• Equipment Logistics: Monitor material slotting and readiness for long-lead equipment (transformers, steel, etc.).
• Stakeholder Interface: Help manage relationships with internal engineering teams and external industrial customers.
• Financial & Schedule Tracking: Maintain project documentation, budgets, and schedules to identify risks before they impact delivery.
• Operational Readiness: Support storm restoration (DAT) and after-hours response when critical customer needs arise.

• Foundational PM Knowledge: Experience in project coordination, ideally within utilities, heavy civil construction, or energy infrastructure.
• Technical Aptitude: Ability to read project schedules and understand the logistical hurdles of large-scale equipment management.
• Communication: Exceptional organizational skills—you will be the hub of communication for meetings, reporting, and change management.
• Resilience: A proactive mindset and the ability to pivot during emergency storm restoration efforts.
