Operations Manager

Position OverviewThe Regional Safety Manager is a senior operational leader responsible for advancing a strong, people-centered safety culture across all projects and operations within an assigned region. This role partners closely with field and operations leadership to embed safety into how work is planned and executed, beyond basic regulatory compliance.
Reporting LineReports to:
Director of Safety
- Ensure every employee goes home safely, every day
- Lead and sustain a proactive safety culture across regional operations
- Serve as the primary regional safety leader for field operations and project teams
- Develop and mentor regional safety personnel
- Promote visible safety leadership, accountability, and engagement
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to perform safety audits, field observations, and coaching in alignment with corporate standards, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and client requirements
- Participate in project safety meetings and pre-task planning with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to identify hazards and address risk trends
- Provide interim on-site safety coverage when required to support active or newly mobilized projects
- Lead, coach, and manage regional safety managers and project safety professionals
- Support onboarding, training, performance reviews, and ongoing development of safety staff
- Promote consistent safety standards, messaging, enforcement, and succession planning across the region
- Oversee regional safety documentation, reporting, and site-specific safety plans
- Coordinate and ensure quality delivery of required safety training and retraining
- Maintain required safety certifications and instructor credentials
- Support preconstruction and business development teams with safety planning for upcoming work
- Represent the organization within regional and national safety organizations
- Collaborate with corporate and regional safety leaders to share best practices and lessons learned
- 5–10 years of progressive safety leadership experience, preferably in electrical construction or energy operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and industry safety standards
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and influence field and operations leadership
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate safety requirements into practical field execution
