Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, and involves supporting a manufacturing environment through efficient management of accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate financial operations.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable transactions, including coding invoices and ensuring timely payment to vendors.

- Perform check runs and manage payment processing activities with high accuracy.

- Handle data entry tasks related to accounts payable, ensuring all records are up-to-date and error-free.

- Reconcile accounts payable balances and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Collaborate with internal teams to address invoice-related issues and maintain smooth operations.

- Monitor vendor accounts to ensure payments are made according to agreed terms.

- Prepare and maintain detailed records of payments for reporting and auditing purposes.

- Assist in implementing process improvements within the accounts payable function to enhance efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations in all accounts payable activities.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.

- Proficiency in accounts payable systems and processes, including coding invoices and payment processing.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.

- Knowledge of check runs and automated clearing house (ACH) payment methods.

- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with vendors and internal teams.

- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
