This is a full‑time, on‑site Coatings Inspector role based in Lake Elmo, MN. The Coatings Inspector will conduct thorough inspections of concrete and steel water storage tanks, prepare detailed evaluation reports, and ensure adherence to specifications during rehabilitation projects. Responsibilities also include coordinating with construction teams, monitoring rehabilitation work, and providing insights for compliance with industry standards. The role aims to support the longevity and safety of water storage reservoirs while maintaining rigorous quality standards.
Qualifications- Strong knowledge of coatings inspection, including NACE certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience conducting in‑service evaluations of water storage tanks (concrete and steel).
- Familiarity with preparing technical specifications for rehabilitation and inspecting construction work for compliance with those specifications.
- Solid understanding of design, evaluation, and construction management processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing detailed evaluation reports and collaborating with clients and teams.
- Ability to work on‑site in Lake Elmo, MN, and travel as needed to project locations.
- Previous experience in water storage tank maintenance, structural inspections, or coatings analysis is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
