Responsibilities

The Mortgage Loan Services Manager leads teams that handle mortgage loan disclosures, redisclosures, and opening services, ensuring compliance with regulatory and secondary market requirements and internal guidelines. The role manages appraisal processes, works closely with internal Risk and Compliance, and develops skilled team members through ongoing coaching and training.

Key Accountabilities
  • Oversee Mortgage Disclosure Compliance: monitor disclosure pipelines to ensure compliance with regulations such as TRID, Reg B, RESPA, and HMDA; review potential change of circumstances; partner with department leaders to implement solutions; offer ongoing mentoring and training.
  • Manage Loan Opening Services and File Quality Review: oversee the mortgage file quality review process to ensure quality files meet service level agreements; partner with Mortgage Sales Leaders to identify improvements; monitor flood determination processes for regulatory compliance.
  • Appraisal Pipeline Oversight: ensure appraisal pipeline processes are accurate and evaluated regularly; partner with department leaders to proactively identify gaps or customer service issues and implement solutions.

    Risk Management:

    ensure accuracy of HMDA information; develop and assist with review processes; proactively identify risk areas, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement training and system improvements; assist the Mortgage Risk Director with compliance testing and action plans.

  • Makes Decisions & Solves Problems: identify and evaluate problems, perform root‑cause analysis, develop solutions, and make sound business decisions based on analysis, experience, and organizational realities.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Five or more years of mortgage experience, including in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements for loan disclosures and all mortgage documents.
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Current knowledge of secondary market guidelines, FHA and VA guidelines.
