General Summary
:
This position is responsible for completing daily tasks related to general operations of the convenience store and gas station as well as providing customer service.

• Greets all customers, providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting care, concern, and patience in all customer interactions including over the phone or gas station pump
• Assist customers in finding product, securing product, loading or unloading products, etc.
• Maintain clean and orderly stations both interior and exterior including restrooms, countertops, and floors
• Receive, verify, and store delivered merchandise in the appropriate storage area
• Unpack and stock shelves and coolers with merchandise as directed
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room, backroom, sweep and mop the floor, and tend to supply needs
• Ensure proper maintenance of lot; shovel sidewalk of snow, spread ice melt on parking lot, gas pump area and sidewalks
• Fill outside towel holders, replenish or refresh window washer fluid
• Remove trash inside and out in a timely manner
• Assist in training new employees as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Operate lottery ticket registers to verify wins or purchase new
• Operate cash register accurately and scan product (where applicable) and report improper cash levels in the cash drawer
• Redeem promotional coupons, food stamps, receive cash, checks, complete credit‑card charge transactions, in‑store charges, and figure discounts, as well as count back change and issue receipts
• Place merchandise in bags or boxes and give packages to customers

• Cook food using ovens, stoves, griddles, and microwaves
• Prepare ingredients ensuring freshness by chopping, peeling, cutting, etc.
• Follow all food health and safety standards
• Display food properly and monitor expiration dates and dispose of outdated food
• Understand and practice proper sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean and neat
• Store food properly when not in use

Enrolled or graduated from high school or GED with no specific experience required.

Flexible part‑time work schedules. This position works majority in a climate‑controlled office and occasionally outdoors sometimes in extreme heat or cold. No travel is required.

This position is defined as Medium. Work involves exerting between 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally using any combination of body, hands, fingers, arms, legs, and feet to complete tasks. Walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting to a significant degree.
