Job Details DescriptionResponsibilities
- Ensure that inventory is properly valued on the balance sheet and assist with the establishment of required reserves (as needed)
- Help maintain the standard cost system including the analysis and disposition of variances and make periodic updates to standard costs
- Assist with review and costing of new parts
- Assist with physical inventory counts and reconciliations
- Assist with the analysis and presentation of gross profit on a monthly basis to Management
- Prepare journal entries, account fluctuation analysis and account reconciliations
- Ensures the proper recognition of COGS
- Partner with other departments to resolve variances and issues
- Recognize evolving business process issues to ensure that proper accounting outcomes are achieved and controls are adequate
- Assist with financial statement audits
- Participate in ad hoc projects and analysis as needed
- Ensure all reports, analysis, working files, and journal entries are organized and well-documented for clarity as well as quick and easy auditing
- BA/BS degree, accounting preferred
- Analytical with the ability to effectively communicate insights to various audiences
- Team player with the ability to collaborate with multiple departments
- At least three years of cost accounting experience with manufacturing
- Good understanding of GAAP and cost accounting concepts
- Experience with an ERP (such as Net Suite or Oracle) in a manufacturing environment
- Good problem-solving skills and advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and deadline-oriented
- Motivation to learn how things work and why
- Annual Salary Range: $75k - $85k
