Receptionist - Part Time - Lake Forest Campus
Job Summary: The beautiful MIC Lake Forest Campus seeks a professional and friendly part‑time receptionist. Welcome students, parents, employees, and the general public. Respond to inquiries and provide information about MIC programs and activities.
This part‑time position is located at the MIC Lake Forest Campus, 40 E Old Mill Road, Lake Forest.
Hours: Tuesday - Thursday, 5 pm - 9 pm
Customer Service and Administrative Assistance- Welcome guests and admit them into the building.
- Answer incoming calls and greet visitors; respond to inquiries or direct to other departments, as appropriate.
- Describe MIC programs and assist families with registration, locating classes, and reserving rooms.
- Utilize MS Word, Excel, and ASAP (registration software) to complete projects as directed by Campus Director.
- Handle routine billing questions and address changes using ASAP.
- Process tuition and room rental payments.
- Ensure safety protocols are being followed by faculty and students.
- Lock and unlock building and rooms.
- Maintain orderliness and set up of the lobby, teaching studios, and restrooms. This may include moving instruments, equipment, chairs, and music stands, as needed.
- Notify the Campus Director of building maintenance issues and when supplies need to be ordered.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year experience providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to multi‑task and pay close attention to detail.
- Friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and via email.
- Strong proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
- Strong math aptitude to calculate tuition charges.
- Promptness and reliability.
- Ability to go up and down stairs.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds (moving chairs, music stands, etc.).
