Our ideal candidate will be someone who takes pride and ownership in their work and possesses the following skills and qualities:
- Specific experience with the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair Land Rovers is required
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical experience in the automotive industry
- ASE Certified is a plus, but not required
- Experience with repair, diagnostic equipment, and scan tools
- Willing to work as part of a team focused on providing exemplary customer service
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain a good working relationship with staff, customers and external contacts
- Passionate about their work, with a great attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to follow shop policies and procedures
- Hold a valid California driver's license
- Ability to work a full time Mon - Fri schedule with punctual attendance
- Utilize the latest diagnostic tools/computers to scan and troubleshoot vehicles
- Troubleshoot and repair major components such as engine, transmission, emission system, and fuel system
- Perform routine maintenance services, inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations efficiently and safely
- Inspect brake system, tires, power steering system, lights to make sure they are properly functioning
- Road test vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly
- Review and evaluate service write-up to determine if additional information is necessary and what type of diagnosis needed
- Use manuals including diagrams as necessary to complete the repair order
- Properly dispose of used parts and return unused parts to the parts counter person
- Use diagnostic procedure to identify the symptoms of the problem, the conditions under which they occur, as well as how often the symptoms occur
- Follow safety rules and regulations
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
