About the Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional Voice/Piano/Guitar teacher to teach part‑time at our Lake Forest, CA studio Glee Music Academy. The teacher will instruct in person at the studio and may also teach additional instruments such as bass guitar, ukulele, etc. The role requires taking over students from a departing teacher, with lessons within our operating hours of Monday‑Friday 1‑8 pm and Saturdays 9 am‑2 pm.
Teachers can set their availability within these open hours, but both students and staff appreciate consistency; preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Ideal voice candidates will have experience working with students through voice changes/maturity, and preferred experience with students with mental and intellectual disabilities, some of whom are home‑bound and taught virtually or in‑home.
Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience; a demonstrated love of teaching; experience working with young musicians; punctuality; reliable transportation; and the ability to pass a routine background check.
Instructor pay ranges from 32 to 36 per hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available after 30 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part‑ and full‑time employees type:
