Voice​/Piano​/Guitar Teacher - Orange County, CA

About the Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a part-time voice/piano/guitar teacher to teach in person at Glee Music Academy in Lake Forest, CA. The ability to teach additional instruments (bass guitar, ukulele, etc.) is a plus.

We are looking for a teacher to take over students from a departing teacher with lessons within operating hours of Monday–Friday 1–8 pm and Saturdays 9 am–2 pm. Teachers can set their availability within the open hours as needed, but consistency is preferred. Ideal voice candidates will have experience working with students through voice changes/maturity. Preferred experience with students with mental and intellectual disabilities, including homebound students taught virtually or in-home.

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience; a demonstrated love of teaching; experience working with young musicians; punctuality; reliable transportation; and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience in the range of $32-$36 per hour. A 401(k) program with employer matching is available after 30 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.

Glee Music Academy has served the local community with music lessons for over a decade. Our studio includes nine teaching rooms, a recital hall, break room, and music lab.
