Senior Funder

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents according to state and/or federal regulations
• Ensure loans close in accordance with underwriter’s approval and the lender policies and procedures
• Prepare and order wire transfers
• Validate fees and balance loans prior to ordering funds
• Work with title companies on loan scheduling, document delivery, final sign-off of HUD-1
• Assist in resolving issues at closing
• Prepare collateral files to Funding within required time frames
• Review post-closing packages for accuracy and completeness
• Monitor lock expiration dates and notify appropriate individuals – monitoring system lock changes
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate the timely closing of loans.
• Meet performance requirements for volume, quality and timeliness
• Prioritize workflow to meet funding deadlines
• Maintain company service levels to provide appropriate turn times
• Interact with Secondary Marketing, Wholesale, Retail, Accounting, Servicing, Shipping and Quality Control
• Maintain high degree of confidentiality
• Draw documents on a minimum of 5 loans daily

• Two years minimum current residential mortgage closing experience required.
• Working knowledge of FHA/VA/USDA regulations and FNMA/FHLMC and investor underwriting guidelines
• Maintain working knowledge of all loan programs to ensure loans conform with program requirements through the loan process and to be able to answer questions as needed
• Working knowledge of lending compliance and regulations
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of different loan types (e.g. conventional, Purchases, VA, IRRRL, FHA, etc.)
