Advantest Test Solutions, Inc. (ATS) is looking for an Assembly Technician to join our team in Lake Forest, CA. ATS is a leading provider of massively parallel electronic test systems that include System Level Test (SLT), burn in and semiconductor/module tests. ATS has an exciting line of high-performance test systems that support the semiconductor industry around the world. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, proactive, hands-on and able to work successfully in a stimulating environment.
This role requires technical skills and ability to follow assembly procedures accurately and secure product quality by maintaining QA/QC programs and quality group performance.
- Work from layout drawings, work-instructions, point to point wire lists, and wiring schematics.
- Electro-mechanical assembly, some assemblies may require lifting of 25lbs to perform rework.
- Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to inspect Reworked devices to ensure the quality of the product.
- Use power tools and assembly equipment to perform tasks efficiently.
- Follow company guidelines and protocols for proper handling of materials and tools
- Follow technical instructions.
- Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs of assemblies as needed.
- Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on rework equipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Analyze and Interpret schematics and BOMs.
- Work with team members, engineers and supervisors to meet deadlines.
- All other duties as required and assigned.
Skills:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in assembly and rework of electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of IPC-610 standards for electronics assembly.
- Ability to work well with limited supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wirelist and work instructions.
- Ability to discern the quality of parts and materials used in production.
- Eye-hand coordination.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electronic components.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task in a challenging environment.
- Ability to thrive in and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs as required.
- This is a daily, on-site role at our Lake Forest, CA office.
