The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day activities within their assigned area for safety, quality and production.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervises the job performance of employees (QA Leads) on assigned shift, making sure their work runs on schedule and meets company standards for safety, quality, production, and waste.
- Actively participates on providing root cause analysis and corrective actions QA processes.
- Works closely with Quality Engineers and MFG supervisors to provide product and process guidance to the team on the MFG floor.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Works on continuous improvement projects within Quality and Manufacturing.
- Performs regular audits of key processes to ensure optimum process performance.
- Measures and evaluates employee performance according to company standards for quality, productivity, and career advancement.
- Actively builds QA Leads skill set to create a cross functional workforce and increase efficiencies.
- Stimulates teamwork within his/her departments. Creates a fair and positive environment that fosters a solid work ethic and maintains a good team attitude within the group
- Ensures his/her departments are a safe work environment
- Leads activities to communicate and maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
- 1+ year of supervisory/leadership experience
- Experience in a high volume and multiple shift environment
- Proven track record of individual accomplishment, contribution and team based success.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Creative and innovative when looking for solutions and provides ideas for technical and/or organizational improvements
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
- MS Office and ability to learn other systems (SAP)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated with high sense of urgency, resourcefulness and adaptability
- Master's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
Pay Range: $82,263.72 - $
