What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

* Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized personnel to the correct areas.

* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and emergency services when appropriate.

* Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hangars, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

* Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems when assigned, and investigate alerts according to post orders.

* Perform badge and property screening checks as directed by site procedures, and report suspected policy violations through the proper channels.

* Complete detailed, timely reports of patrol activities, incidents, and observations using written logs and/or electronic reporting systems.

* Support a controlled environment in areas with sensitive programs by following escalation protocols and respecting information handling requirements.

* Provide directions and general assistance to visitors and staff, including coordinating escorts to restricted areas when required by site policy.

* Work with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts to communicate hazards, maintenance concerns, and operational issues observed during patrols.

* Participate in drills and site briefings, and follow instructions for evacuation, shelter-in-place, and other emergency actions when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

* Have at least 1 year of security experience.

* Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

* Be 21 years of age or older.

* Customer service experience is preferred.

* A guard card/license is preferred.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
