Truck Driver

Overview: We are seeking a versatile and dependable Truck Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role combines responsibilities for safe and efficient driving with assisting in various warehouse tasks. The ideal candidate will be skilled in truck driving, knowledgeable about warehouse operations, and ready to contribute to overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Safe and Efficient Driving:

• Operate the company truck to transport goods to and from specified destinations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure safe driving practices.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its optimal condition.

Delivery and Pickup:

• Ensure timely delivery and pickup of goods according to scheduled routes.
• Verify and document deliveries, ensuring that all goods are accounted for and in good condition.

Load Management:

• Securely load and unload cargo, using appropriate methods and equipment to prevent damage.
• Utilize the truck's safety features: 3 strap rail system and over 30 straps for secure transport provided.
• Assess and adjust load distribution as necessary to maintain vehicle balance and stability.

Warehouse Assistance:

• Assist with receiving, sorting, and storing inventory.
• Prepare and package orders for shipment.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Complete and submit required documentation, including delivery receipts, purchase receipts, logbooks, and inventory reports.
• Report any vehicle issues, incidents, or warehouse discrepancies to management immediately.

Compliance and Regulations:

• Maintain knowledge of Hours of Service regulations and ensure compliance with state regulations in California.
• Stay informed of any changes to local, state, and federal driving regulations to ensure continuous compliance.

Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs):

• Proficient in using ELDs for recording driving hours and compliance.
• Experience with ELD:
  Motive preferred

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a truck driver and/or warehouse associate.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety practices.
• Familiarity with Hours of Service regulations and state-specific compliance requirements in California.
• Proficient in using ELDs, with experience using ELD:
  Motive preferred.
• Ability to handle and manage cargo safely and efficiently.
• Experience with warehouse operations and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads as required.
• Capability to sit for extended periods while driving.
• Stamina to perform physically demanding tasks associated with loading, unloading, and warehouse work.
