Job Description
Support core cost accounting processes by ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and reconciliation. Partner with business units and operations to manage cost data, validate transactions, and improve cost visibility.
Cost Accounting & Close
- Prepare journal entries (COGS, inventory, freight)
- Support monthly close and reporting cycles
- Maintain accurate cost data in ERP (SAP)
Reconciliation & Analysis
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Analyze cost variances (standard vs. actual)
- Validate estimated vs. actual costs
Business & Intercompany Support
- Partner with business units on financial booking
- Support intercompany accounting (AR/AP entries)
- Ensure alignment across entities
Reporting & Data
- Pull and analyze data from ERP systems
- Prepare recurring cost and operational reports
- Provide data to support business decision-making
Process & Controls
- Follow SOPs and maintain strong internal controls
- Support audit readiness and documentation
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
- 1–3+ years of relevant accounting experience
Technical Skills
- SAP or ERP experience preferred
- Strong Excel skills (analysis, reconciliations)
- Understanding of inventory, costing, and COGS

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000-$75,000 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
