ROLE SUMMARY

The Manager Commercial Operations is a significant, cross‑functional role that partners with the U.S. Hospital Business Unit Commercial Team, Account Management, Finance, U.S. MA, PGS, and others to maximize the performance of the U.S. HBU business and deliver on the organization’s strategic goals, objectives, and commitments. The position is primarily an Individual Contributor and a key member of the U.S. Hospital portfolio Triads, delivering holistic guidance across all portfolio segments.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze, interpret, and translate data into actionable insights and recommendations – preparing detailed analyses utilizing various internal and external data sources to understand product‑specific and competitive market conditions.
  • Partner with the U.S. Hospital Pricing Lead to implement pricing/contracting strategies and alternatives.
  • Apply expertise of the U.S. HBU portfolio and market to support those recommendations with analytics; monitor the success or recommend modification of strategies to enable the business to deliver on its commitments.
  • Gain and leverage understanding of key customers to develop practical and effective pricing recommendations for RFPs, price challenges, and contracting decisions while streamlining decision‑making to respond quickly to customer requests.
  • Stay well‑informed of emerging external trends and market dynamics to identify signals that could impact the business.
  • Lead the weekly Run‑the‑Business (RtB) process for the assigned portfolio, align on business performance, recommend changes to trends or business conditions, and ensure all data and analytics used in the RtB forum are aligned to drive performance.
  • Support the Go‑To‑Market process by leading market analyses for new product launches, private label launches, return‑to‑market, and line extensions within the assigned portion of the portfolio.
  • Ideate, develop, redesign, and/or enhance key analytics tools, reports, and processes with an eye toward driving effectiveness and efficiency and improving the availability, quality, and timeliness of critical information required to make high‑quality business decisions.
  • Operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, summarizing and maximizing the performance of the U.S. Hospital portfolio overall business in a fully compliant manner.
  • Support the alignment of Latest Estimates (LEs) and Operating Plans strategically to maximize ROI and desired business impact.
  • Champion and promote awareness of Pfizer’s values and culture, inspiring colleagues to commit to U.S. HBU’s business deliverables and fostering a culture that supports short‑ and long‑term success.
  • Collaboratively address organizational pain points and feedback to create an environment conducive to personnel growth, development, and achievement.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse experiences and capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers and to oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
MUST‑HAVE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the generic pharmaceutical or related industry, emphasizing strategic and analytical roles in a multi‑source product environment.
  • Experience working in cross‑functional, matrixed teams.
  • Passionate, energetic, detail‑oriented, organized, driven, and accountable, with a strong commitment to business results.
