Demand Planner

The Demand Planner II is responsible for generating and owning the Demand Plan for their assigned scope (sales organization and/or products). The expectation is that the Demand Planner develops a monthly plan in partnership with business stakeholders that provides an 18‑month outlook for the needs of the customer base. This highly impactful and visible role communicates and presents with stakeholders and leaders across the organization and ensures that the demand signal is aligned with sales and capacity, used for financial planning, manufacturing asset planning, staffing, procurement of raw materials, and final customer fulfillment.

• Own the Monthly Demand Planning process in the Monthly SIOP cycle using Kinaxis Rapid Response and/or Blue Yonder.
• Maintain DFU level forecasts.
• Utilize statistical methods (ex: Lewandowski model) to review and analyze data for improved accuracy.
• Partner with sales and product/business teams to create the 18‑month unconstrained demand plan for the assigned scope.
• Perform data maintenance, clean‑up, and forecast product transitions and successions in the planning system.
• Analyze current plan and assess gaps and opportunities considering statistical trending, monthly sales meetings, customer service input, customer meetings and economic indicators.
• During the monthly Demand Consensus process, summarize changes to the current 18‑month Demand Plan and make recommendations.
• Communicate changes to demand and supply (increases/decreases) to stakeholders in SIOP, Procurement and Manufacturing.
• On an annual basis, work with Sales, Business and Finance teams to generate the Demand Plan for the AOP/budget process.

• DFU level forecast accuracy (statistical and operational).
• On Time In Full (OTIF).

• BA/BS degree; degree in business, mathematics or engineering preferred;
  Master’s degree recognized.
• APICS or IBF certification preferred.
• Experience with advanced planning software tools; experience with Blue Yonder and/or Kinaxis preferred.
• ERP experience required; SAP experience preferred.
• MRP experience and understanding required.
• Analytical capability: translate data into information and recommendations; handle complex datasets, data cleansing, transformation; basic modeling.
• Intermediate statistical forecasting skills;
  Excel: pivot tables, charts, formulas.
• Intermediate database tools usage.
• Strong communication skills with business partners and leadership.
• Strong judgement and business understanding.
• Domestic travel no more than 5%.

Competitive base salary range of $75,000 – $100,000 plus bonus and benefits.
