Position: Part-Time Assistant Teacher (Infant/Toddler) – Afternoon Hours

Looking for a part-time afternoon position working with infants and toddlers? Little Scouts Preschool is hiring a dependable, nurturing Assistant Teacher to support our youngest learners in a high-quality early childhood program. College students welcome.

Description:

Little Scouts Preschool is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Teacher to support our program, with a primary focus on infants and toddlers. We are a high-quality early learning environment that values strong relationships, thoughtful routines, and a calm, nurturing approach to care.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary:
  • Support teachers in infant and toddler classrooms
  • Assist with daily routines, including feeding, diapering, rest time, and transitions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-prepared classroom environment
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play
  • Step in as needed to support ratios and ensure smooth classroom flow
  • Build warm, responsive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • Experience with young children preferred
  • CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred (or in progress)
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Working Conditions:

This is an active, hands-on role that includes standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs occasionally), and engaging with children both indoors and outdoors.
