Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $ - $. This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to 25 %, based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program which are subject to change.

The Director, NA Collections provides strategic and operational leadership for Grainger's North American Collections, Billing, and International Credit & Collections functions, leading a team of more than 250 colleagues across the U.S., Canada, and Panama. This role is responsible for optimizing working capital, enhancing the customer experience, driving continuous process improvement, and ensuring operational excellence through scalable, efficient shared services operations.

Will
  • Lead Grainger's North American Shared Services organization, including Collections, Billing, and International Credit & Collections.
  • Develop and execute collection strategies, policies, and procedures to manage cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables.
  • Oversee resolution of complex customer account matters, including settlements, payment arrangements, extensions, and write-offs.
  • Partner with Credit, Sales, Customer Service, and business leaders to resolve escalated collection issues involving customer accounts, payment arrangements, and receivables.
  • Establish and execute Shared Services priorities and define performance expectations, process- improvement priorities, and accountability for operational results.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement process and system enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
  • Provide strategic operational leadership by aligning Shared Services activities with corporate objectives, business plans, and budget commitments.
  • Define and monitor key performance metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), and productivity measures to drive operational performance and reporting.
