Job DescriptionThis is a full time position at 40 hours per week located at Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital. This position supports Breast Imaging, and the schedule is Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30p, with a Saturday rotation (1 Saturday every 6 weeks).
The Admin Assoc Diagnostic Imaging reflects the mission, vision, and values of NMHC, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities- Demonstrates exemplary customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity when resolving issues.
- Communicates with patients and visitors including greeting them upon arrival and providing necessary information related to their visit.
- Answers phones and provides assistance accordingly including scheduling of patients.
- Assists in gathering information for the preparation of patient tests and billing.
- Utilizes computer order entry system and radiology information system.
- Correctly identifies, obtains and scans physicians orders.
- Uses effective service recovery skills to solve problems or service breakdowns when they occur.
- AA/EOE.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service position.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
