Interactive Dementia Caregiver​/Cognitive Companion

Overview

This is not traditional home care. This is a highly interactive, activity-based role for someone who loves engaging with seniors. 6-8 Hours/Day. 5 Days/Week. Starts Mid-February.

Full Bloom Memory Care® is seeking a compassionate, creative caregiver to support a client in Lake Forest through meaningful daily connection, movement, and cognitive engagement. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys brain-based activities, conversation, and purposeful companionship.

This is a hands-on, relationship-centered role focused on:

• Senior center outings
• Walking and light movement
• Brain games and cognitive activities
• Creative engagement and companionship
• Working closely with our professional dementia care team
• Supporting structured, calm, connected days

We are especially interested in candidates with experience or training in:

• Caregiving or memory care
• Social work or human services
• Improv, theater, or creative engagement
• Parkinson's disease support
• Aphasia or communication challenges
• Activity-based senior programming

As a Memory Care Partner, you will:

• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Lead simple cognitive and brain-based activities
• Encourage movement, walking, and daily structure
• Accompany client to senior center or community outings
• Assist with cueing and supportive care as needed
• Communicate closely with Full Bloom s care team for guidance and continuity

• Top-tier pay for top overnight caregivers: $25/hr+

• 1 year of dementia or caregiving experience (family or professional)
• Reliable availability:
  Set, consistent schedules (e.g., Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday) including one ongoing weekend day
• Valid driver s license, reliable vehicle, and current insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Proof of work eligibility in the U.S. and ability to pass a background check
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Eligibility to register with the IDPH Health Care Worker Registry

• You ve worked in memory care, senior living, or private duty home care
• You ve been trained in Teepa Snow s PAC approach
