Traffic & Logistics Assistant
Location:
Onsite in Lake Forest, IL (Hybrid opportunities after training) Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, Flexible Start Times (7am-3:30pm, 7:30am-4pm, 8am-4:30pm, 8:30am-5pm)

This role is heavily focused on logistics administration, inventory tracking, shipment documentation, and supporting the movement of products throughout the supply chain. It is ideal for someone who enjoys behind-the-scenes coordination, problem-solving, and working as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities:- Support Domestic Traffic Coordinators with daily logistics and transportation activities
- Process and maintain shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs), warehouse receipts, COAs, and related paperwork
- Update shipment statuses within ERP systems and customer portals
- Track and maintain inventory levels across assigned warehouse locations
- Coordinate inventory movements and investigate inventory discrepancies
- Communicate with warehouses, vendors, and internal departments regarding shipment and inventory activities
- Follow up on missing shipping documentation and inventory records
- Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations
- Archive and maintain electronic shipment records
- Assist with claims processing and issue resolution when needed
- Support continuous improvement efforts and process enhancements
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Accounting, Warehousing, and Customer Service teams
- 3+ years of administrative, inventory control, logistics, transportation, warehouse, or related experience
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service-oriented mindset
- High School Diploma or GED & Associate's degree or some college coursework
- Experience working with Bills of Lading, shipping documents, inventory records, or transportation paperwork
- Exposure to logistics, supply chain, transportation, or warehouse operation
- Experience using ERP systems such as JD Edwards, Oracle-based platforms, or Salesforce
- Spanish language skills (highly preferred but not required)
